SK Holdings Company Ltd:Microsoft’s fourth-quarter net profit up 42%
Ending June 30 in the fourth quarter, Microsoft’s revenue rose 18 percent to 15.84 billion U.S. dollars; realized a net profit of 4.3 billion U.S. dollars, or 46 cents a share. The same period last year, the company realized a net profit of 3.04 billion U.S. dollars, or 31 cents a share. However, the company announced the data and first-quarter profit forecast was lower than analysts expected, Thomson accepted - a Reuters poll of the average analyst forecast that fourth-quarter earnings of 47 cents a share.
Microsoft (Microsoft) has announced that despite the U.S. economic slowdown, but the company maintain its high growth performance, fourth-quarter net profit rose 42 percent.
Microsoft expects fiscal 2009 earnings per share in the first quarter of 47-48 cents a share, on revenue of 14.7 billion -149 billion dollars, the Wall Street expected profit of 49 cents per share, revenue 15.04 billion U.S. dollars. For the 2009 fiscal year, Microsoft is expected to 2.12-2.18 dollars per share, on revenue of 67.3 billion -681 billion dollars, analysts forecast earnings per share of 2.16 U.S. dollars, 67.3 billion U.S. dollars revenue.
